Our Heritage

Founded by Harry Taylor in 1922, the business began as a market stall in Darlington before expanding into its first shop on Skinnergate. As each generation joined the family business, Taylor's continued to grow while staying true to the values it was built on: quality, craftsmanship and service.

Harry Taylor opens the family business in Darlington.

Growing the Business

From opening our own factory to moving into a purpose-built production facility with an adjoining café, this period marked a major investment in producing our own pies, sausages and prepared foods while expanding the Taylor's experience.
