A steak seasoning rub is a mixture of spices made to be rubbed onto raw food before cooking, it coats the food and adds all kinds of new flavours. You can add a spice rub to all kinds of foods like chicken, pork and of course steaks.

Simply Recipies recommends this rub on ribeyes, New York strips or a skirt steak. Avoid tender steaks where you want the beefy flavours to shine through. You can even mix the rub into burgers if you fancy a bit of extra flavour.
Steak rub methods are very simple, just pat your steak down with a paper towel on either side and generously sprinkle your rub onto each side and rub it into the meat. You can cook straight away or leave your rub for a few hours or even overnight to really let the rub take hold. Once you’re ready, simply cook your steak as you normally would and enjoy!

This recipe recommends grilling your steaks, choose either a fillet mignon, a porterhouse steak, the New York strip or a ribeye.
Just like last time, simply dry off your steak and generously sprinkle your rub. This recipe calls to leave your meat for 40 minutes to let the flavours break down the steak and make it more tender. Once you’ve let it rest, simply grill it as you would any other steak until it’s brown and slightly charred. Once you’re done let the meat rest and enjoy.
